Rowan Sets NCAA Tournament Game Record in Emphatic 21-9 Win Against Towson
5.11.2008 | WLax Junior attack Katie Rowan's 13 points and eight assists set an NCAA Tournament game record in the fifth-seeded Orange's commanding 21-9 first round win against Towson on Sunday at the Carrier Dome. Rowan and sophomore midfielder Christina Dove each scored five goals.

Dove totaled seven points, adding two assists. Sophomore attack Halley Quillinan tallied four points on four goals. Senior attack Kristin Brady collected three points on three scores.

The Syracuse men's rowing team retained the Conlan Cup by defeating Boston University. The Orange has won 11-straight cup races, dating back to the beginning of the 2006 season. Syracuse goes for its 12th-straight cup victory on Saturday when it takes on Dartmouth for the Packard Cup in Hanover, N.H.

  

The men's and women's lacrosse teams play first-round NCAA Tournament games this weekend. The Orange men's squad is the No. 3 seed in the tournament and hosts Canisius in the Carrier Dome on Sunday at 7:30 p.m. The women's team earned the No. 5 seed and hosts Towson on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. Click here to purchase tickets.
