Opened September 24, 2009, the 54,000-square foot Carmelo K. Anthony Center is the most recent addition to the SU facilities. The $19 million center is named after former Orange standout Carmelo “Melo” Anthony, who led the Syracuse Orange to the 2003 NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship and donated one of the largest individual gifts to SU athletics to begin construction. The Melo Center is attached to Manley Field House and features two full-size practice courts made of first-grade maple.

The state-of-the-art complex features men’s and women’s basketball locker rooms and film rooms, coaches suites, which are located on the second floor and overlook the two courts, the Tobin Academic suite, a strength and conditioning facility, an athletic training suite, which includes a hydro-therapy room, complete with state-of-the-art pools, men’s and women’s coaching staff locker room suites, and an equipment room between the team locker rooms.

The doubled sided Hall of Fame entry, with the glowing NCAA National Championship trophy centered in the middle, welcomes all visitors, introducing them to the rich history and tradition of Syracuse basketball.
