Tops Friendly Markets, a leading full-service grocery retailer in upstate New York and northern Pennsylvania, announced today that it has teamed up with Syracuse University athletics to be the major sponsor of Syracuse football, men’s and women’s basketball, and men’s and women’s lacrosse for the next two seasons.

The Travel Channel’s hit show Man vs. Food will have an Orange flavor when it airs tonight at 9 p.m. The show was in Syracuse earlier this summer and one of the places they visited was Wohl Field at Syracuse University’s Lampe Athletics Complex where host Adam Richman donned the legendary #22 jersey to tape a segment with some former Syracuse lacrosse stars.

Sophomore Alyscha Mottershead is in her first season with the Orange after transferring from the University of Iowa. She scored three goals and recorded five assists for the Hawkeyes last season. A Brampton, Ontario native, Mottershead has started all four games this season for Syracuse.
