Muraoka Named Scholar-Athlete of the Week

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Senior Makiko Muraoka, a coxswain on the women's rowing team, has been honored as the Syracuse University Scholar-Athlete of the Week for the week of Dec. 27.
Muraoka was selected to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll in all six of her semesters. She is also a three-time BIG EAST Academic All-Star selection. Muraoka is majoring in international relations at Syracuse.
The women's rowing team travels to Florida on January 6, 2005, for its winter training trip and meet Connecticut for a scrimmage on March 11.
