Syracuse University Athletics

     Twenty five Syracuse University football student-athletes have worn the #44, including the legendary Jim Brown, Ernie Davis and Floyd Little. Fullback Rob Konrad was the last Orange football student-athlete to don the jersey in 1998. When the number is retired in a halftime ceremony of SU's game against South Florida in the Carrier Dome on Saturday, Brown, Little, Konrad, Michael Owens, Bill Schoonover and Tom Stephens will be in attendance to celebrate the occassion.
