August 26: S is for Sportscaster U.
Syracuse University athletics teams are familiar to sports fans because SU has so many games televised throughout the year. The Orange hue cast by the SU football, basketball and lacrosse teams extends beyond the playing field and court, however. Behind the microphones and behind the scenes in production are thousands of Syracuse University alumni telling the stories to the viewers. The 2005 football Orange will open the season in a familiar spot – on national television – on September 4 at 1:30 p.m. against West Virginia in the Carrier Dome. The game will be televised on ABC. Be part of the growing excitement every day leading up to SU's first game with our Countdown to Kickoff: A to Z.
