The Syracuse University men's rowing team enjoyed a great deal of success throughout its fall portion of the season. Justin Stangel (Madison, Wisc.) was a key part to the success of SU's varsity eight and varsity four crews including a pair of third place finishes at the highly regarded Princeton Chase on Oct. 30. The Orange returns to action on April 8 when it competes in the Ten Eyck Cup in New Brunswick, N.J. Now hop on board and read on to learn more about junior Justin Stangel.

"Exercise Science"
What did you do this past summer?
"I rowed in Philadelphia for Vesper and competed in the U.S. National Championships and won the intermediate singles, senior pair and championship eight."
If we asked your roommates do describe you what would they say?
"They'd say that I'm strikingly handsome and that they wish they had my culinary skills."
What movies do you like?
"I like pretty much all of them. To name one, I liked Sideways."
If you could have dinner with five people, living or dead, who would you invite?
"I would invite Steve Redgrave, JFK, Neil Armstrong and ACDC band members."
What do you see in your future?
"I like to keep options open. I aspire to make the 2008 or 2012 Olympic Rowing Team, finish school and maybe go to a culinary academy."
What would be your dream job?
"Coaching crew at a national team level."
