Williams Rounds Out Highly-Rated Recruiting Class

Syracuse, N.Y.-Head men's basketball coach Jim Boeheim has announced that Sean Williams of Villa Park, California has signed a national letter-of-intent to play for the Orange next season. Williams joins Donte Greene, Johnny Flynn, Rick Jackson and Antonio Jardine in the recruiting class of 2007 that is ranked second in the nation by Rivals.com and Scout.com.
Williams, a 6-11, 220, center, is currently enrolled at Notre Dame Prep in Fitchburg, Massachusetts; the same school that current Orange freshman Paul Harris attended last season. As a junior at Villa Park High School, Williams averaged 6.3 points and 3.0 rebounds and had 50 blocked shots on the season. His team went 29-5 and reached the Southern California Regional Division II final.
Williams is rated 20th among centers by Rivals.com and 28th at his position by Scout.com.
