Syracuse Adds Scrimmage Versus Hofstra/Le Moyne

Senior captain Kenny Nims and the rest of the Orange will host Hofstra/Le Moyne on Jan. 29.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Orange men's lacrosse team will host a three-way scrimmage at the Carrier Dome on Thursday, Jan. 29 against Hofstra and Le Moyne. The action gets underway at 1:30 p.m. with Hofstra facing off against Le Moyne. Syracuse and Hofstra will play in the second game at 3:30 p.m. and the Orange and Le Moyne wrap up the day with a 5:30 p.m. contest.
 
The scrimmages are the first of two exhibition dates for the Orange leading up to the start of the 2009 regular season. The Orange will also host Harvard in a scrimmage on Saturday Feb. 7 prior to opening the year against Providence on Sunday, Feb. 15.
 
The Orange returns to the field for the start of spring practice on Thursday, Jan. 8. Syracuse is No. 2 in this year's Inside Lacrosse Face-Off Yearbook rankings and is coming off a 16-2 season in which it won its record 10th NCAA Championship.
