ESPN Classic is airing a special tribute to Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim on Tuesday, November 10, in recognition of the long-time Orange mentor's 800th career victory. Four classic Syracuse games will air on the network, beginning at 12:00 p.m.
SU defeated Albany on Monday night, 75-43, and Boeheim became the third active Division I coach with 800 victories. He joined Duke's Mike Krzyzewski and Jim Calhoun of Connecticut.
The four games on the schedule are:
12:00 p.m. 2003 Notre Dame vs. Syracuse
Gerry McNamara clinched an 82-80 victory with a three-pointer
2:00 p.m. 1995 Syracuse vs. Georgetown
Boeheim earns his 450th career triumph with help from Lawrence Moten.
4:00 p.m. 2009 BIG EAST Quarterfinal vs. Connecticut
The six-overtime thriller at Madison Square Garden won by the Orange last March.
7:00 p.m. 2003 NCAA Championship vs. Kansas
Boeheim leads the Orange to the program's first NCAA championship.
