SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Syracuse women’s ice hockey team will return for its first game of its seven game homestand when it welcomes the Union Dutchwomen to Tennity Ice Pavilion on Saturday, November 28 and Sunday, November 29. Both games will begin at 2 p.m. and will mark the first meeting between the schools.

Four different Orange women scored in the 5-4 loss at Colgate on Tuesday, November 24. Senior assistant captain Brittaney Maschmeyer recorded her first Syracuse goal, while sophomore forward Megan Skelly and junior forwards Stefanie Marty and Julie Rising each tallied goals for SU. Senior goaltender Lucy Schoedel had a season-high 33 saves against the Raiders.

Syracuse has earned five College Hockey America weekly recognition this season, including Schoedel (Defensive Player of the Week) and freshman standout Isabel Menard (Rookie of the Week), who earned the honors for their performance in SU’s sweep at Robert Morris. Schoedel recorded 32 saves in her first shutout of the season, while turning away 28 shots in the 4-2 victory. She registered a .968 save percentage and a 1.00 goals-against average during the two-game series. Menard earned her third league honor of the season after she had four points against RMU, including three goals and one assist.

Freshmen Impact
Six Syracuse freshmen (Isabel Menard, Holly Carrie-Mattimoe, Jessica Sorensen, Kelsey Welch, Erin Burns, and Jacquie Greco) have accounted for 11 goals and 17 assists this season. Menard is second on the team in goals with five, and ties Carrie-Mattimoe for third in assists with six.
