SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The No. 3 Syracuse women’s lacrosse squad goes on the road for the first time this season, traveling to California for a pair of weekend contests. The Orange visits No. 17/16 Stanford on Friday at 6 p.m. before taking on California on Sunday at 3 p.m.

Both games will be broadcast live on WJPZ 89.1FM in the Syracuse area. The broadcast is also available on Orange All Access on SUathletics.com. Subscriptions for Orange All Access are available at a yearly ($79.95), monthly ($9.95) and daily ($5.95) rate.

SYRACUSE-STANFORD SERIES
The 2009 meeting is the second all-time between the Orange and Cardinal. Syracuse holds a 1-0 advantage in the series.

SYRACUSE-CALIFORNIA SERIES
Syracuse and California have met once in the history of the two programs. The Orange leads the series, 1-0.

A LOOK AT THIS WEEKEND'S GAMES
Friday’s game is the first for Syracuse against a ranked opponent this season. In 2008, the Orange was 7-3 against teams ranked in the top 20 ... Syracuse hits the road for a two-game swing, its first contests away from the Carrier Dome this season. The Orange posted a 6-1 record in away games in 2008 ... Syracuse’s next win will be the 20th for head coach Gary Gait. He enters the weekend with a 19-3 mark at the helm of the Orange program.

NO. 125 AND COUNTING
Syracuse’s win against Le Moyne was the 125th victory in the program’s history. The Orange played its first season in 1998. Since that time, Syracuse has an all-time record 125-56 for a .691 winning percentage, the fourth-highest total of any program in the nation.
