SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Former Orange soccer standout Spencer Schomaker has joined the Kitsap Pumas of the United Soccer Leagues Premier Development League (PDL). Schomaker completed his collegiate career at Syracuse in 2008. He also spent three seasons with the PDL’s Tacoma Tide.

Schomaker was one of four players added to the Pumas roster last week. In addition, Kitsap acquired Dustyn Brim, Jesse Wheelock and Schomaker’s Tacoma teammate, Mark Lee.

At Syracuse, Schomaker appeared in 62 matches from 2005-08. He scored 26 points, including nine goals. As a senior, he led the Orange in scoring (17 points) and tied for the team lead with six goals. Schomaker tallied a career-best three goals in SU’s 3-2 win against Adelphi on Oct. 21, 2008.

In his three seasons with Tacoma, Schomaker amassed 19 goals and had nine assists.

The Pumas open the 2009 PDL season on May 2 with a road match against the Spokane Spiders
