Pete Moore, director of athletic communications, represented Syracuse University at the recent College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Convention in San Antonio, Texas.
Moore, a former president of the organization, participated in the five-day workshop that attracted more than 500 members. As a past president, he serves on the CoSIDA Nominating Committee and is also a member of the Special Awards Committee.
While at the convention, Moore picked up three CoSIDA Publication Awards won by the Syracuse athletic communications office during the past year. The men's soccer media guide, edited by Mike Morrison, received eighth in the nation out of 28 entries for Division I. The men's basketball guide, edited by Moore, earned second among District 1 entries (there were 83 national entries and 12 in the district for Division I). The women's basketball guide, edited by Josh Waldman, earned third in the district (85 national and 13 district entries).
