Tennis Garners Eight All-Academic Nods

The Orange tennis team had eight BIG EAST All-Academic selections in 2008-09. First-time honorees were Christina Tan, Victoria Ford, Emily Harman and Katlyn Haycock. Simone Kalhorn, Jacquelynn Tang and Ashley Spicer were each picked to the team for the second time, while Chelsea Jones was honored for the third time.
Syracuse had one of its most successful seasons in the history of the program last year. The Orange went 16-7 in dual matches and defeated West Virginia at the BIG EAST Championship. Syracuse starts off the 2009-10 season on Sept. 18 at the Maryland Invitational.
