Orange Places 17 on All-Academic Team
Lauren Cappelli is one of four members of the Orange to earn a spot on the BIG EAST All-Academic Team for the fourth straight year.

The women’s soccer team had 17 honorees on the 2008-09 BIG EAST All-Academic Team. To be named All-Academic the student-athlete must maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher throughout the year and earn a varsity letter in a sport sponsored by the conference.
Seniors Karrah Benson, Lauren Cappelli, Katherine Peck and Sarah VanSickle earned the honor for the fourth straight year, while juniors Tessa MacDougall and Elizabeth Healy are three-time selections. Senior Sara Grimsgaard, junior Samantha Hirsh and sophomores Megan Bellingham, Marjory Elwell, Molly Siwula and Sharifa Wilkinson earned the honor for the second time in their careers. In addition, seniors Amanda Arcuri and Emily Bush, juniors Eliza Bennett-Hattan and Chelsea Berry and freshman Taylor Chamberlain are first-time honorees.
The Orange opens the 2009 season on August 22 at St. Bonaventure at 3 p.m.
