Orange Add Lions To Hoop Itinerary

SYRACUSE, NY – The Syracuse men’s basketball team is scheduled to host Columbia on Friday, November 27, in the Carrier Dome. It’s the first pairing of the Orange and the Lions since the 2000-01 campaign.

     Syracuse has a 10-3 advantage in the all-time series with Columbia, including five straight victories in the series. In the most recent matchup, on December 28, 2000, Syracuse was a 61-47 winner. Columbia’s last triumph in the series was a 71-70 decision on December 8, 1956.

     Columbia, coached by Oswego State graduate Joe Jones, was 12-16 a year ago. Jones was an assistant at Villanova before taking charge of the Columbia program.
