As the Orange kicks-off its fall schedules, fans are encouraged to show their support for Syracuse University athletics by wearing their Orange gear on Friday, September 4 as part of the fifth annual College Colors Day celebration.
College Colors Day, in partnership with NCAA football, is an annual celebration dedicated to promoting the traditions and spirit that embody the college experience by encouraging fans across America to wear their favorite college or university apparel throughout the day on Friday.
The yearly celebration coincides with “back to school” and the start of intercollegiate athletics, strives to advocate higher education through increased public awareness and celebrates the achievements of colleges and universities, acknowledging their fundamental importance.
Some College Colors Day promotions include:
•College Colors Day television spots that will run nationally on sports and news networks the week leading up to College Colors Day. This includes the ESPN networks, CNN, Fox News, and more.
•Governors from across the United States recognizing Sept. 4 as College Colors Day in their respective state.
•Colleges and universities, as well as several hundred retailers from coast to coast will support and celebrate the day in a variety of ways.
