SYRACUSE, NY -- The Carmelo K. Anthony Basketball Center had a very important piece added to its construction puzzle over the weekend -- the name of the building was mounted on its side.
Construction continues to progress on schedule for the new basketball facility. Plans are to move the men's and women's basketball staffs into the building by the end of September and have things up in running for the start of official practice in mid-October.
Work has begun on the wood court. The design calls for two full courts running north-south next to each other.
