2010 Hardwood Banquet Registration Form

The 39th annual Syracuse University Men’s Basketball Hardwood Banquet, sponsored by TK99, will be held on Sunday, March 7 at the OnCenter in Syracuse. Tickets are $75 per person and $750 per table of 10. Proceeds benefit the Conrad McRae Endowed Men’s Basketball Scholarship and the men’s basketball job program. 

The 28th Vic Hanson Medal of Excellence will be awarded to All-American John Wallace ’96. The honor is given to an individual or individuals who have ties to the men’s basketball program and have made outstanding contributions to college basketball.

Wallace ranks third on the all-time scoring list with 2,119 points, averaging 16.7 per game. He leads the Orange in total points scored in a season with 845 his senior year, averaging 22.2 per game. He ranks third on the career rebounds list with 1,065 and finished first each of his four years on the team in total rebounds. He leads the Orange in season free throws made with 222 (.763 percent) and ranks thirds in career free throws made with 510 (.738 percent). Wallace also places seventh on the career blocks list with 209.
 
The four-year letterwinner was one of 25 Orange players named to the Syracuse All-Century team in 2000. He was drafted by the New York Knicks, and after seven years in NBA, he concluded his career playing for the Miami Heat.
 
The event is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. with a reception that includes a silent auction featuring Steiner Sports memorabilia, player autograph session and a live auction hosted by SU head coach Jim Boeheim. Dinner will begin at 6:15 p.m.
