No. 51 TCU Defeats Syracuse, 6-1
Senior Emily Harman defeated a nationally ranked singles opponent but it wasn’t enough as the Syracuse University tennis team (0-2) was defeated by No. 51 TCU (1-0) 6-1 on Saturday afternoon.

FORT WORTH, Texas – Senior Emily Harman defeated a nationally ranked singles opponent but it wasn’t enough as the Syracuse University tennis team (0-2) was defeated by No. 51 TCU (1-0) 6-1 on Saturday afternoon.
 
Harman defeated No. 92 Stefanie Tan in a tie-break 6-3, 5-7 (10-5) on court one. It was her second-straight match playing a nationally ranked singles opponent and her first victory of the season.
 
The Petersburg, W.Va. native was the only Orange player to register a victory against the Horned Frogs. TCU swept through doubles to open the match, then won singles matches 2-6 for the victory.
 
SU plays its home opener next Friday evening when the Orange hosts conference rival St. John’s at Drumlins Tennis Center. First serve is slated for 6:00 p.m.
