Lowry To Compete At USA XC Championships
Syracuse cross country freshman Jace Lowry will compete at the USA Cross Country Championships on Saturday in St. Louis, Mo. The championships will be held at Forest Park, the site of the 2004 Women's Olympic Trials Marathon.

Syracuse cross country freshman Jace Lowry will compete at the USA Cross Country Championships on Saturday in St. Louis, Mo. The championships will be held at Forest Park, the site of the 2004 Women's Olympic Trials Marathon.

The 2012 events will consist of six cross country championship races for men's and women's categories with national titles on the line for junior, masters and open divisions. Lowry will be running in the junior men's race, and can qualify to represent Team USA at the North American, Central American, Caribbean (NACAC) Cross Country Championships on March 17 in Port of Spain, Trinidad.

Lowry redshirted the 2011 cross country season for the Orange. He was a two-time All-State cross country student-athlete while attending Martinsville High School, and was a member of the 2011 Indiana All-Star Team. The Paragon, Ind. native ran unattached at the John Reif Memorial on October 21 at Cornell, finishing 16th overall with a time of 27:49.90 in the five-mile race.
