Orangemen Touch Down in New Orleans

The Orangemen arrived in grand style for the Final Four in New Orleans. The team was greeted by a jazz band and cheering fans with Mardi Gras beads doled out for everyone. There are a number of SU events planned for the weekend, including the "Orange Friendzy."
Sean McDonough, Syracuse University alumnus (Class of 1984) and ABC, ESPN and Boston Red Sox sportscaster, will be the emcee the "Orange Friendzy at the Final Four" on Saturday, April 5 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. (CST). In addition, the Sour Sitrus Society, SU cheerleaders, SU Dance Team and Otto the Orange will perform. The event will be held in the in the Preservation Hall Ballroom at the New Orleans Marriott.
The hotel is SU?s official headquarters in the Big Easy. Those traveling to the Final Four to cheer on the Orangemen will have plenty of opportunity to hook up with fellow SU fans and get information about special events at the SU Hospitality and Information Center, at Galerie 4 in the New Orleans Marriott.
The center will be open Friday (April 4) from 4 to 8 p.m.; Saturday (April 5) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Sunday (April 6) from 9 a.m. to noon; and Monday (April 7) from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
