Ridlon was a key defender on the SU squad that earned an invitation to the Cotton Bowl in 1957. The Orange held five opponents to two touchdowns or less during the campaign. He ranks eighth in career interceptions at SU (11). Ridlon played for the 49ers and the Cowboys in the NFL. He was also named to Syracuse University's All-Century team in November, 1999.
