Frase was a member of SU’s unbeaten 1987 squad. It capped a collegiate career that featured four letter-winning campaigns. He enjoyed an NFL tenure that included stops with the New York Jets, Jacksonville Jaguars, Green Bay Packers and the Baltimore Ravens. Frase was named to Syracuse University's All-Century team in November, 1999.
